RFID in libraries
ISBC Group is ready to offer a complete range of equipment covering most of the identification problems in the scope of libraries and archives. Special attention should be paid to high frequency range equipment of HF 13.56 MHz. De facto RFID technology in the high frequency range of HF 13.56 MHz is the standard for use in libraries and archives all around the world. The reason is the high reliability of the system, sufficient range of the RFID equipment coupled with passive RFID labels attached to a book or document. HF RFID technology and equipment offered by ISBC allow for the identification of books with RFID-labels both at a considerable distance (for example, gate passage width can be up to 1.5 meters) and limit the coverage that is important for the equipping of the book collection and lending unit - it allows to avoid accidental errors in the identification of a particular book or writing data to the RFID label.
- equipping of the reading rooms with systems for the protection of books and documents from theft or accidental taking out,
- equipping of book collection and lending units;
- equipping of automatic book collection and lending complexes and terminals,
- equipping of automatic sorting systems,
- equipping of books and documents cataloguing and searching systems.

RFID reader Feig SPAD102 H
|
Item and RFID portal components name |
Item 013-2670. RFID reader with an attractive design FEIG SPAD102-E HF, the reader is provided with a built-in antenna. PC communication interface – Ethernet. Item 013-3671. RFID reader with an attractive design FEIG SPAD102-USB HF, the reader is provided with a built-in antenna. PC communication interface - USB |
Use description | Compact desktop reader is designed for cards/labels with an operating frequency of 13.56 MHz. The flat antenna and the reader allows to identify and read/write RFID labels at a distance of 30-40 cm. Implementation of anticollision allows to work with multiple labels simultaneously (up to 30 labels). The design of the device ensures reading labels directly on the surface of the antenna! In addition, installation on metallic and conductive surfaces does not affect operation of the antenna. For this reason, the reader can be used in the environments traditionally considered to be inconvenient. |
Handheld reader for cataloguing and search

Automated Library and Information System “Ruslan”. About
“Ruslan” Automated Library and Information System (ALIS) provides automation of all key processes of book handling and readers' services in libraries of different types.
The functionality of “Ruslan” ALIS can grow gradually by adding new modules without modification or replacement of already purchased ones. That provides a possibility of the phased introduction of the system.
Transition from other ALIS to "Ruslan" ALIS is possible (DOS systems, file and server architectures).
The system can be used in libraries of any subordination – university, public, libraries for the blind, medical.
Ruslan ALIS makes it possible to create digital libraries of full-text resources as a natural part of scientific and educational space of the University library. It provides creation of the library consortia in the short term and involvement of individual libraries in their activities. When using Ruslan ALIS for library automation you can easily become a member of the consortium – You don't need any additional components to perform operations of maintaining a joint catalog and cataloguing by borrowing, perform search operations and order via the Web page of the consortium.
"Ruslan" ALIS supports the possibility of cooperation online with all of the libraries using this system and also with the members of the ARBIKON Partnership to perform operations of cataloguing by borrowing (when entering new additions and execution of retro-conversion), to search for and order documents.
